Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Education

No matter what your position and/or company it's important that you keep educating yourself and developing skills that make you valuable.

Many companies are downsizing, just look at all companies that have active boards here - the question will be what are you doing to make yourself considered critical/valuable.

About as genuine as Charlie. I view it as condescending advice disguised as “helpful guidance” that no one asked for. No thank you.

Corporate Communications:

Goal #1: Change the narrative on the board.
Goal #2: Empower yourself. Don’t blame any of this on us.
Goal#3: Your experience means nothing. Don’t blame any of this on us.
Goal #4: All the other companies are doing it too. Don’t blame any of this on us.

Other companies are doing it too.

I've met some talented people over 50 that are extremely talented. Education and skills are irrelevant in the job hunt after a certain age in America.
