As a Wells Fargo VP, and employee of around 11 years at Wells Fargo, I personally know and have worked with some of the very high level Managers that have recently been displaced. These employees, oh I guess mostly men, worked very diligently to keep their departments running and I can state that they are very kind, ethical, generous, very intelligent and very nice to all of their employees. I hope that they can find a job in a different department at Wells Fargo because they deserve it and did not have anything personally related in their job efforts to the various Wells Fargo "scandals".

@tj1 I've seen people come and go too. No one ever wishes they were back working for WF. I imagine it's like this at any large institution.
The ship is sinking.
Branch employees are really suffering.
My manager was top-notch. He always went for the ethical choice and stood up for his employees. He kept morale high through all the scandals and various executive blunders. Highly experienced in his field and worked long hours.
They caught him off guard by letting him go in February. Too many layers of management they said.
We are now managed by an ex-Wachovian who doesn’t know his way out of a paper bag regarding our segment of the business. But he is louder than everyone else and very good at self promotion. He is never available and looks bored when you try to bring problems to his attention. Ignores you until there’s a blow up and then yells at you because you weren’t persuasive enough when you brought the problem to his attention initially.
My main points are
- I see NOTHING positive for anyone at WFC regarding our management change. Another out of touch decision by the wolves who are guarding the hen house.
- Our ex-manager was initially dismayed and felt betrayed regarding being laid off. But in hindsight, he said it was the best thing that ever happened to him. There is a whole happy balanced world out there away from Wells Fargo.
- I don’t know anyone who leaves Wells Fargo and says they wish they could come back. They all look about 10 years younger within 6 months.
Why do posters here think a VP title is something at this bank? There are literally 10’s of thousands of VP’s here that is NOTHING they have zero power. Until there is an S or an E in front of those VP then you are a zero. Look at marketing the lowest title is VP the employees come in with that “title” get a grip.
This Titanic has already hit the iceberg and is going down. Unfortunately, it will take many victims down with it. Captain Scharf just wants to keep the band playing as long as possible to keep his own paychecks keep coming. He doesn’t care about anyone’s safety but his own.
There are $30,000/yr branch employees who actually deal with customers who are also losing their jobs due to the unethical actions of others.
I tend to feel sorrier for them.
