Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Layoffs and teamwork’s

The number of employees that update everyday. Do they show the people who have been fired or just the people that have left? I am thinking we won’t see the results of layoffs until the severance is paid.

It's not perfect but it is the "best" indicator of numbers since our transparent and candid leadership does not want to give us numbers. Two months ago Chuckles has 277M today it is 270M. But that does not tell us how many contractors or consultants have been kicked out and as mentioned above, some people who left are still showing as employees so it is extremely flawed BUT its all we have.

The correct term is laid off. Not fired. Two different meanings.

It shows how many people are working at wf at that time. You are not seeing the employees that were laid off say yesterday to 55 days before and are still working during their 60 day notice..
Since the first week of August wf head count has decreased 2.5 percent. I'm guessing this is what they planned and will continue at the this rate, roughly 1 percent per month or until the big wigs are happy. Numbers don't lie, but besides that, its all guessing.

I see people on TW that were laid off a month ago. It is useless to try and use it to calculate layoff numbers
