Wealth tech QA is worthless. They have no clues what they are doing. If the entire team is gone tomorrow no one would miss them

He can’t put together a strategy because he doesn’t understand IT.
So many things wrong with brokerage tech. They did finally start the process to get rid of the ridiculously redundant brokerage warehouse db but the logical and physical structure of the oracle db is poor; inefficient due redundant data organized poorly, built upon bad design decisions made 20 years ago.
The ridiculous bureaucracy built around making code changes is completely counterproductive. Smallest change to a production app takes weeks if not months, involves a hundred people or more and gets costed at hundreds of thousands of dollars so the business partners decline to update and even worse they go outside IT to bring in their own solutions. It really needs to be blown up but all i hear is agile will fix all.
Charlie is on the BOD at MSFT and used to lead Visa. Fairly confident he knows The Who’s who of tech and in time, will have that person in house

The Current H.O.T needs to be replaced soon. Nothing against him. Seems like a nice guy. But, Nice is not what WF needs right now. They need someone who is a true innovative mind and could bring Out IT into 21st century in line with top Fintech Companies. Out current CEO even said that Wells needs to be a Technology Company first. SVB is a very energetic guy but not a true Tech mind. It was mentioned before that Dave Ellis would be a good pick(head of Innovation for WF many years ago). I agree, some1 like Ellis would be a good start!
Well the first thing they need to fix is the turnaround of a release. It currently is 9 months on the Enterprise release schedule. How in the world can you react quickly when it takes almost a year to create a release. No accountability on all sides. BS requirements turn into BS code then 7 years of QA which has no clue what is important.
