Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Conversation overheard the other day

I promise I wasn't eavesdropping. But this was just too good not to share.

Boss: "Hey, Employee! I decided to make you a subject matter expert in Fanciful Widgets."

Employee: "But... but... I don't know anything about Fanciful Widgets. As a matter of fact, up until this very moment I never even heard those two words used together in a sentence before."

Boss: "Not to worry! My face book friend taught me everything I need to know about Fanciful Widgets. Here! I put it all in this power point slide deck for you to read."

Employee: "Ummm, ooooookaaaaay..."

Boss: "Whatever you do, if you have any questions don't go poking around on the interwebs. There's just too much fake news out there. And if anyone disagrees with you just send them to me and I'll use my power as a VP to shut them up."

Employee: "But, you're just an IT manag-..."

Boss: "GOOD LUCK!"

Employee: "Thanks?"

We're doomed.

Things like this actually do go on at Wells. I know people who are asked to train others on things they don't know anything about. It happens.

Let’s reinvent the wagon wheel. I’ll schedule daily 4 hour meetings for the next 2 years.
