Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

That Call

  • Charlie’s been here a year and still acts like he’s a lost lamb, new, fresh, clueless – wish I could pull that
  • Investors have been robbed this past year like no year in the history of this great bank. Investors should show no mercy at this point. Investors should be ripping heads off these guys. The guy in charge of HR, David, should be FIRED on the spot and his salary clawed back, he’s a mo–n. They could liquidate the whole company and fire everyone and investors could double/triple their money.
  • He’s still harping on D&I. Annoying 99% of the people doing the work at this company. Stop talking about race all together, we’re not some hipster tech company doing well. If the place was doing well, sure you could talk about all the D&I jobs you have, but at this point its id–tic, extremely annoying, and you’re going to start losing good employees with the bank’s best skills feed up with hearing about it.
  • The executives have some really nice basements; I wish I were that rich.

I know D&I is hated by a certain segment but the saddest thing to me is the total and complete insincerity Wells goes about it. Ever stop to think its distraction?

I sent in a question asking why there wasn't going to be voluntary layoffs. Too tough a question I guess. Never read. Agree with all posters, YOU are the one needing D&I talks Chainsaw not the rank and file. Not a single word about where we are going except satisfy the regulators. You have been here a year and the only accomplishments are; brought in a bunch of white men from your old jobs to lead, brought in a Dimon relative in a position with no direct reports to lead "Transformation", reduced the stock price by over half, absolutely destroyed morale, put in a performance review process that puts everyone in competition with their peers which is going to create great teamwork and collaboration…...NOT. It's sad to watch every day.

The food bank segment was a signal to the rest of us getting laid off where to go to receive our severance.

That lady talking about Food Banks looked like she was about to pass out.

Agree. I was incredulous that with everything that he could discuss, we had to hear an hour of d & i nonsense that is so infuriating, that lady talking about food banks that was so obviously tone deaf during layoffs, and a "q and a" with questions only id–ts would ask.
