Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Legal layoffs 10/27 happened

Legal got slashed on the 27th this week and the week before. Lots of people got fired or were forced to step down to a lesser role. Is there more to come? Was this it?

Our managers played swap with fulltime employees from at risk areas. They knew our team wouldnt be impacted so they moved the employees over to our team but they aren't doing work for our team. It also brought my manager up to 7 full time employees rather than his original 4 and 8 contractors. This manager is extremely shifty. Really good at getting people to like him but lies about compliance and security items regularly to upper management.

More coming. Risk and Control, Risk Operations expect layoff announcements in 1Q21. Re-orgs already happened, new lower-paying job bands after being moved to new groups.

Individuals were arbitrarily moved from between groups in order to maintain the span levels and retain managers roles. This is another example of impacting the careers of actual workers in order to retain a management levels instead of making the actual hard decision. The impacted individuals were told to keep "doing what you were doing" in their old role and departments even though they are no longer connected. There is no rhyme or reason to the moves and decisions.
