Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Settle down!

We all knew these day were coming. Prior CEO’s said this too. If you look at the amount of people posting during the work day it clearly shows you lack work. After being here for 17 years I have witnessed many of these. Also, important to note all banks go through this. Charlie is doing the job he was hired to do!

I can do most of my posting while listening to the many “never accomplish a darn thing” meetings Wells Fargo is known for burying us in. My manager wants to be able to report he is regularly engaging his employees, so we have weekly meetings to cover latest HR announcements, charitable donations, someone has to report on what the DJIA is doing for the week, someone has to report on an accomplishment that week 🙄. Terrible.

Maintaining two headquarters has got to be extremely expensive. You all should have seen the writing on the wall long ago honestly.

Hey OP, everyone is entitled to a lunch break and two 15 minute breaks. How about mind your business and go read the news if you don’t like it. We are all trying to piece together what is going on. My manager said not one individual contributor would be impacted by spans and layers to which I laughed and guess what? Not only did this board confirm my suspicions but my peers were let go ON 10/27 just like these posts said!

Charlie is not being candid, we are on this site as it has more information than the leadership of WF albeit some of it fake news. Uncertain times but certain for senior mgmt.

Charlie isn’t doing sh– you must still have a job! I got hired in January and was laid off and i owned more work streams then any person on my team, they are hiring all these executives paying them ridiculous amounts and these relocation packages are insane! They could have cut cost there and saved some jobs during a pandemic. This place s—s and deserves every fine it gets

I am neutral, but you need to pull it together. After 17 years, you should be much more professional and less emotional. I recommend you stay off the board for Charlie’s sake.

You settle down. If you don’t like what you’re reading, tune out.

For $36,000,000 I would hope that Charlie is a big boy, and doesn’t need anyone coming to his defense. Additionally, Charlie is reaping what he has sowed. He’s an Ineffective leader at best. At worst, he is sowing conflict and toxicity in the organization. And you are just adding to the conflict, proving my point. Great job by you.
