Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

The More Confused You Are At What You See Going On In The World.....

The more wrong your world view, and understanding of how the world works is.

Investors know that when their trades lose money, it's because their thesis is incorrect. Likewise, if everything you believe about how this world works cannot explain the events you see unfolding, it's because your beliefs are incorrect.

And here's an even bigger shocker, MANY people do understand what's going on and why. They don't share your (likely naive)beliefs about the world, nor do they assume everything always gets better with minimal damage.

Sometimes sh!t gets serious, and there are reasons why. But you will never see this coming, nor understand why so long as you cling to antiquated, incorrect assumptions.

Advice -
Bail out now, your ship is sinking. I went to the state-government sector 20 years ago and I now have a sweet, secure, defined-benefit pension.
When your layoff notices start to fly, things may get very messy. I saw thousands of people get laid off in my high-tech company, so in 2001 my wife counseled me to get out of the rat race and find something more secure.....Indeed, government jobs can be far more dependable.
Best wishes to all of you in these difficult times [ banks are going on-line, physical branches are no longer needed. ]

This post is so dumb. Unfortunately these dumb posts are starting to spread faster than Covid on here

Let’s stick to just posting layoff facts and stories and not come here to post our opinions of the world.

Yes, yes, a million times yes. If more people at WF thought like this, the company might not be in such dire straits.

Im betting @1czy is also the OP. HAHA!

No one asked you and I’m so glad you violated the house rules and brought up politics. Anyway, feel free to provide us some lottery numbers while you are at it, with all your insights. Also, you forgot to add the proverbial “all people are sheep” at the end there.

This is actually an extremely cogent post by someone who clearly has not studied this.

@OP+17G5Apxh, your thinking is actually right on with psychological research and what you have noticed is actually CDD, “Clinical Cognitive Dissonance Disorder”. All people run into areas where their beliefs are challenged by real world facts. Mentally healthy individuals consider the difference between their beliefs and the real world evidence which contradict and revise beliefs accordingly, even if reluctantly.

Mentally ill people reject the real world evidence, assured that they are right and the world is wrong. You see this in dramatic things such as Anorexia where a person looks in a mirror and sees an obese reflection despite being well under any healthy BMI.

But you also see a dramatic disconnect in politics and ideology. Very apparent in a election year where people try to make Charlie far right, when he in fact is far left because they feel that he could not be far left. Same in reverse for Trump.

Incidentally this disorder is more prevalent with artists, musicians and writers.

Hey, thanks for your thoughts. It was a great untutored leap and I for one am quite impressed. You have a first class mind. Hope you get out of Wells and find a place where you are recognized.

HA!
So your views across the world are correct but everyone else is clueless?

I bet you don't understand the concept of one person - one vote. Whatever the outcome is.

You be funny!
