I'm tired of waiting. Give me severance and I'll be happy to leave.

Your correct, people are looking for other positions everywhere there have been layoffs, the workload is so bad there hoping you'll leave. The stress on top of being lied to has shocked all of us who made BB&T what it was, Kelly really pulled one over on all of us who endured the low pay thinking it was the culture we were here for. Yes, we are all bitter but we'll get through this, Karma will prevail for Truist, even the name is a slap in the face, far from altruist.
If you want it then don’t worry, it ain’t coming. You will be piled on with more work. They are not going to ask for volunteers. The plan is to work you to the point where you leave so they don’t have to pay severance.
Any idea if they are first looking at Contractors that are in excess in some areas in IT - like Prod support or QA
seeds of hope there is something better out there than where you are
Come on... we’ve got seeds of hope!
When those advocating for you get axed you’ve had a really bad day. Be careful who you align with in this environment. Not many of you are first round draft picks if you know what I mean!
Be grateful you are still employed. I was impacted a few months back and just now finding employment. It’s rough out there and wages are lower. Keep a low profile and network like hell internally and externally. Everyone is in self preservation mode even at the highest levels of the bank. Unless you are part of the “Friendship Club” and you have someone advocating for you it’s going to be tough times for some.
Be patient grasshopper. Your time will come.
I'll even volunteer.
