The Town Hall On 10/29 was scheduled a few days ago. Usually Town Halls are scheduled months in advance. Is there some major news that CS is going to share with us? Or will it be same old b.s talking points and D&I initiatives? Oh, almost forgot, he will probably apologize for the 401k blooper.

What’s next, telling a racist joke or three? This company including Charlie, needs to learn how to walk the walk. This company is a hotbed for discrimination, harassment and downright toxic environment.
You are free to leave whenever you choose. But you won't, you'll stay here waiting for your package only to drop over dead the day before being let go.
Keep race out of it.
Paranoia? Explain the move and how it benefits employees. It doesn't and will only reduce the payouts to displaced employees....As for trading continuation pay vs match....before this change i would get both.
Saul has a brown bag "ask me anything" he has around once a month. He has been telling us about these layoffs for over 4 months. He also has been telling us that the overall idea is to consolidate to certain hubs, move everything possible to India and flatten the company as well as move away from retail products.
I looked at the Bloom list of people who were let go yesterday. Looks like of 26 people, 13 of them were middle managers. I do believe that is just the start of the layoffs though.
Will you please stop with the paranoia. Worst case you lose 15k in matching but collect 16+ weeks of continuation pay.
Leave the industry and you'll get 401k matches every paycheck.
401k blooper? I think not...More like a known issue they always planned to walk back? The real issue is that the match is no longer quarterly and is done once at the end of the year. Then only if you are on the payroll as of 12/15.....or, if not you can be dead, retiring at 65...or terminated at 65...then you keep your match....everyone else...no match.....
Why does this matter? All the rest of us can be cut on 12/14 each year going forward and the company saves all those matching funds....Seems like a clear move to prep for layoffs and cost those folks even more $.....
- All about the horrible life of an executive.
- D&I so much we vomit
- Benefits how we are just lucky
- D&I we need more of it.
- Oh who's the next JP Hire wheel of executives.
- Last but not least fake questions
i can guarantee there will be no transparency or candor and very little new info shared, if any. its a sh!t show. oh yeah - he'll probably remind us to sign up for next year's healthcare.
Hopefully our all white executive staff can tell us about D&I
Too bad employees can’t tune in for it. Only managers have free time to do that.
@ezaj, you nailed it!
Sorry I will be busy with washing my hair
News articles said this Townhall was scheduled to rally the troops after recent layoffs. I can’t wait to hear that.
- D&I
- D&I
- D&I
- D&I
5-100. D&I
- Embrace candor
- Expenses too high
And everyone question, he will start his response with “Look”
Major news is never disseminated at town halls. The purpose is for the leader to be able to SAY they communicate with the troops - not to actually communicate.
The meeting will be all about what HE wants from US. Concentrate on the work, be positive about the future, be an agent for change etc etc.
I think he is going to say TRICK or TREAT and most of us are getting tricks.
Most likely things that he will talk about.
- Layoffs
- Return to Office/Covid
- D & I
- Asset Cap
- 401k
And oh yes, by the way, we have found a Strategic Partner that will help grow our business Organically and more Efficient which will return the most value to the shareholders. What I am trying to say is that...
