Do leaders at Wells Fargo and other financial institutions do this? Why are these so lacking in leadership these days?

All that matters to qualify for the upper and mid levels of leadership is the good ole boys club. Either you’re in it or you’re not.
We need Jeff Weiner types to lead us out of hell.
A land where leaders are thoughtful and capable... where managers coach and inspire, instead of badmouthing and actively sinking their staff members.
By and large, leadership at WF is arrogant, smug, defensive and ego-driven.
This is no way to run a business, much less succeed.
Thank you for your post, OP. A lack of character and competence is EXACTLY what got us into this mess and surely isn't the way to get us out of it.
Personally? Yes, I do and then 2016 happened and some of my peers were like OMG but that is retail/branches and I have nothing to do with that. To which I said, “you WILL CARE when we all start getting fired, you’ll care!” And here we are. Did it take years and consent orders and asset caps to do us in? Yes, and the majority of the people let go will have been decent and have nothing to do with that activity or any other bad activity. What you are suggesting is correct and common sense but maybe there isnt enough common sense to go around these days.
