Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Does anyone have any ideas for a new career?

Is there life after banking? What do some of you plan on doing after you get your severance? Will you change careers? If so, what do you plan on doing?

Looking into multiple entrepreneurship ideas. Don't think I'd ever want to work for another mega-corporation. Sure they've had solid benefits, but I've also been screwed over countless times.

Yea banking how it is today is done. THey are not very profitable, while well fargo tech is from stone age, so is JP Morgan, BAC, Citi and all the others.

Everything moving to global banking model using digital models. I dont see any of this in any of these obsolete organizations. If US doesnt do it, China or Russia will.

Personally, I left banking after 15+ years and successfully transitioned to a fintech career. The banking experience was valued to help the tech firm build out its product development roadmap and then sell it to the banks.

Going to be difficult to get a decent job with the stain of Wells Fargo on the resume. I recommend going into blue collar field like awning installations or laying pavement.

Seriously considering to go into boat motor repair. Can’t offshore that and I have cried at the labor I paid to fix my boat.
