Director, dm, gm, and ops reduction. Management will be streamed lined ops duties will fall on store management
Look, don't worry about what you cannot control. I worked on closures of 4000+ team members on a two year covert reduction in force vz and vzw. Two years after, without 'rumors' I was part of a larger reduction... just do your job, if you don't like it leave, you have skills, that is why you are there for now, or use them elsewhere. Yes, there will be more, yes it's already in the works, no a union wont 'save you' as they are going through attrition... focus on your wireless skills or hone you vzb skill set and move to the growing side... for now.
Micromanaging costs yes however as a SM they have us doing that more than ever RTW forms, checking on touch less etc
If you read between the lines it's not that hard to figure out the next move aka the home for the holidays program. Check the job board daily and read your emails not to hard to figure out. The last 6 months has showed what positions are useless and not need. Micromanagement cost to much in this 3.0 world no need for all this oversight anymore.
I haven't heard anything, but it can't hurt to check.
