You all are hilarious. Thinking that Charlie's comment is going to cost him his job. He's safe. Does anyone remember how long it took us to fool, or entice Charlie to come to WF? We had an interim CEO during that period after Sloan stepped down. What you will probably see - WF will develop a program to develop black executives. They will partner with NYU, Wharton, whomever, to develop the program for WF to say 'look what we're doing for diversity!".
If they replace him with someone that saves jobs and cancels relocation strategy, I'm for it.

This is about a CEO who is getting paid $36,000,000, and should have been smart/savvy/aware/have-one-foot-in-reality enough to know he was going to be criticized for only bringing in, for the most part, a bunch of privileged white men. Sorry Charlie, but the 1980’s are over. And, for $36,000,000 he should know what to say, and how to say it, publicly.

Simple. hire based on qualifications not hire someone because of thier skin color.. simple math will tell you that. 13.4% of US population is Black.. of that % how many are qualified and have experience to do the job.. vs 72% of population being white.. statics tells you that for every 10 people there is 1 that is black vs 7 being white.. so who has higher chance of being hired..
I would be ecstatic to see him be shown the door. I hope they stay on the story and grow it. The King shows no regard for the commoners, leaving us all to fend for ourselves. Charlie is commanding the highest pay among banking CEOs. Yet he has shown he is only capable of focusing on cost cutting, while purposely letting employees and employee morale go in to the toilet. You get what you give. He was another mistake and an expensive one at that. He’s been at it for a year and we are worse off than before he started. Let’s get him out before he wastes any more time and siphons off any more money.
I hope employees and shareholders start speaking out publicly against him.
