@3yif: Oh, I, I can't stand it any longer. This whole plant is insane. Insane, I tell you! Daahh! Aaah! I can be lazy too! Look at me, I am a worthless employee, just like The OP! Give me a promotion! Ooh, I eat like a slob, but nobody minds! I'm peeing on the seat. Give me a raise! Now I'm returning to work without washing my hands. But it doesn't matter, because I'm The OP! I don't need to do my work, 'cause someone else will do it for me. D'oh! D'oh! D'oh!
I'm better than okay. I'm The OP.

That is so disgusting to read—I regularly worked 10-12 hours a day with no ebb and flow. Just pounded with work, got consistently exemplary ratings, yet surplussed nonetheless. You and your entitled, lazy and unethical conduct, along with people like you, cost a lot of deserving people their jobs. Enjoy your pathetic life.

Nice OP, welcome to the club, however the real pros do all that and more, but in the luxury of their home

@1yoq,

My work PC is Ethernet. My personal PC is plugged into a RJ11 Fax Line. My personal i3 PC works just fine as I daytrade. I'm "working" real hard during the day for t, yeah real hard, and I'm daytrading for fun and profit. All I had to do was come into the equipment closet on the weekend and extend the fax line to my office on the other side of the wall, a company provided wall jack brings dialtone into my office. How often do you think anyone sends or receives a fax? Never! I like to call this my office away from the office. I get lots of paid overtime to trade and make obscene amounts of money trading. Besides, IT utilizes sniffers to make sure our work PC's are for work, but analog phone lines, NO BODY CARES and NO Body Monitors! Gotta go. Have to sell T short.

"Plug in my laptop into phone jack."
"Dial up eTrade."
How old is this plagiarized stupidity?
Was it typed on a Commodore 64 or a Wang2200?

OP has upper management written all over him. The " Bobs " would promote him in a heartbeat. The way he handles all those tasks on a daily basis, sticks with his routine and pack it in............a true leader.

Sad. And explains a lot. Especially the 'spread work' item. I can put an exact name to OP, but won't. As a 2nd level mgr, I was the one that carried the load thrice over, especially after even union employees were fired. And guess what? The work does not go away. It just gets pushed to a manager, because they are not being paid overtime for doing a union job in addition to their own.
I reported this to Compliance. What happened? Nothing, except I was surplussed.
Good luck to the next warm body that is forced to work 40 hours in two days and it is still not enough, because of lazy, incompetent bones like OP. And even worse, executives who believe the pretty charts the OP calls 'budget'.
This is EXACTLY why this company will go down. Glad I am no longer part of this.
And good luck to anybody like OP who calls 'spreading work' an accomplishment.
I'm already on my next job, doing the hiring. I will look for you among the applicants.

I make a hell of a lot less and I am completely buried. Non-stop work coming in ....1b here and I know there folks slacking on my team. Nepotism and good ole boy network promoted so many of these slackers. I should have taken office politics in school. Sigh.

OP gets it.
But he/she needs to try more to run them out of $$$.
Winning, one American dollar at a time.
The only regret is I didn't make more.

What a wasted life, OP.

Too bad you have no personal ethics or integrity—you fit right in.

Ugly ugly ugly.

"Why work hard when the company penalizes 'anglo men'?".

Have you looked at our AT&T leadership and board lately? There's your "penalized anglo men" for you. Are you afraid that America's 400 years of white patriarchy is starting to fizzle? No worries ... leadership is still anglo men. You're good to go.
