Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

IT Layoffs

Who want's to bet that IT will be hit the most on the 22. SVB will be unphased, just whatever.

Mark my words.

"Unphased/Unfazed" typo in original post – yes, Saul will be "unfazed" - i.e., not bothered by the cuts; he will also be "unphased" as his previous pre-pandemic "Phase" location strategy has already unraveled. New layoffs have upended whatever "phase" or strategies were once planned. WF is a palace of mirrors with smoke being blown up everyone's a–, and the Dutch know exactly what they're smoking.

You're all thinking too short-term.

"Wells Fargo’s plan to cut billions of dollars in expenses will mostly consist of layoffs and potentially take as long as four years, Chief Financial Officer John Shrewsberry said in a Monday presentation to investors."

They're going to slowly work their way to minimum possible staffing levels.

Pretty sure Saul said mgmt would be affected in Oct. Maybe you can ask for clarification in his Ask Me Anything, I’ll tell you nothing.

I am also sensing that its not going to be a one time thing. After first wave of layoff in October, most IT teams will not feel any missing resources. But when 2nd wave happens in Feb-Mar 21, remainder of the team members will feel impact and voluntarily leave in 3rd wave.

I'm in IT, I believe Saul or Gushue confirmed October for IT.

And several exec's have said it's not going to be a one time thing, so assuming I make it through Octorber, I still get to spend 2021 just like I spent the last few years.

This place is not healthy.

I don't care about the # of rounds so much as knowing what percentage of tech are we talking about here. 10%? 25%? I get great performance reviews and am currently on a fairly high profile project so I am not as worried, but it'd be good to know.
