Amazing how nepotism still is rampant in Verizon. If you have a cousin as a steward you get Vehicles and made. If your girl friend daddy is a second liner you get manager job.Need to drain the swap

Blame is the demonstrated lack of self-respect choosing to deposit one's negative actions onto others to reinforce one's view of being of good, fair, and approved.
@9ecq, wow, discriminate much? If you're so mad at those doing better than you, some of the blame may be found in your closest mirror.
Your whole statement is more of a poor reflection on you.
"Everyone knows Verizon is a relationship based culture..." is true and the company is riddled with it throughout. Nepotism could work well if it were within say the Einstein family and circle; however, it has been my experience at vz that the opposite is true. Somehow a LCD (lowest common denominator) gets hired, typically as a manager then brings family/friends & former coworkers at same low level of intelligence or lower (approaching functional idiocy). The resulting collective intelligence at least in Region that I work in is much closer on best day to Appalachia than Einstein...
Which is Exactly why there soo many that Do Not Know what they are doing.
The buddy system does not mean you know how to do your job.
Yes but you fail to point out the obvious.
Have any proof of this? Please name names... go on... tell us whom it is, who they are! Be a man and name names after you accuse people of nepotism. First, Last name and department please... otherwise you are just m-o-r-on that is mad that you did not get the job and someone else did.
Everyone knows Verizon is a relationship based culture as opposed to performance based. Switch companies if you don't like it.
But if someone got you a job it would be ok, right?
Examples? No proof - No truth.
Hmmm, sounds more like a bargaining unit issue than a company issue.
