@3lofn Exactly and not all teams are in the same physical location. Everything that can be done in an office, can be accomplished over Skype, Zoom, Teams, etc.

When wearing a mask, I just don’t feel much like talking. I’d be more inclined to not collaborate, just go with the flow. Same for shopping, just get in, grab the item, get out. No browsing the store. I feel uncomfortable in a mask and want to spend as little time in it as possible. Bringing folks back to an office location wearing masks full time and having to keep our social distance will not favor collaboration.

I’d like to understand what is the point of rushing people back to the office. The whole idea of being in the office is so we can collaborate, share ideas etc. But in the age of COVID-19 where we need to social distance kind of negates the benefits of coming in in the first place.
Team meetings in one conference room with our masks spread 6 feet apart? Seems more trouble than necessary.

@ @qbq is right. JPM is trying to set the tone for the industry and we'll have to see who follows suit. Guess would be that his cronies will and then ta-da, we have an industry standard set and will make it harder for lawsuits as the big banks will just say they were all sending their employees back to work and the risk of COVID is there regardless if they are in office, or not. I doubt the board is worried about some lawsuits, we can barely manage the regulatory matters we have.

JPM is another criminal network.

I would say for Charlies sake he should not make the same mistake as a criminal network like JPM.

I will call up Donald and see what to do in the case my life is put at risk

And JPM employees forced to come back are already testing positive for the virus and being sent home again. Boomerang location strategy – nice work (heavy sarcasm).

Real brainiacs at JPM. Let the lawsuits begin!

If you want job security, be an attorney handling employee lawsuits against employers related to COVID (likely class action lawsuits). That job will rule the roost for decades to come.

Fed govt. already being sued for Agent Orange's mismanagement and misinformation re: pandemic.

While Covid has been driving the bus, the telecommuting backlash has already started. JPM fired the first shot so the rest of the industry could adopt the "standard practice" of having people return to the office.

Covid is breaking out again in Europe though, so it'll probably get shelved again, temporarily.

Wells may still have location strategy plan, but COVID is driving the bus, not management.

Go back two days to the "Efficiency and corp properties" post and scroll down to the long read from @1jqh+16XdfZ3m.

Very good info.

Look at the open jobs- you can see a trend in locations: Charlotte, Dallas, des monines, phx, Minneapolis, ny/nj..

Hopefully they will make telecommuting permanent again. #MTPA. The happier the employee, the harder they'll work, and the longer the company will retain.

still at play I believe.. depends on the business-line for locations though. They're just waiting "to get back to the office"

Wells Fargo and strategy in the same sentence is an oxymoron. There is no location strategy, no risk strategy, no technology strategy, no testing strategy, no talent strategy, no operations strategy, and the list goes on. You have PowerPoint decks with half baked plans, substantially incomplete, that are put together hastily and thrown away after 6 months. The location strategy is a prime example.

There isn't one... those who were told they had to relocate then not are the ones now who were laid off...
