@Jvvv+16zEvLP3 Suggest you read your source materials again but a little more carefully. Pay attention to the total size of the cut for the entire corporation and the size for EMCC itself within the broader announced cut. No one is done any favors by misquoting announcements.

One week I was told to take on an additional management role, two weeks later I was told I am on PIP or PIL and my US functional manager apologised for miscommunications. WTF is it ? Or was I arbitrarily been placed on MLRP because I am a RER.

Yes, definitely the local S&D management was just making up people performance to meet head cutting exercise. Thy can’t do it alone, it has to be order from above.

The axe has fallen on EU. SG is a high cost location so we should expect something similar

Am pretty sure EM will backfill those who fail PIP or took PIL and THEN have the retrenchment exercise. This way, those who had to leave due to NSI has no case and they won’t get into trouble with MOM. It’s really easy for the company to get away with it.. so.. don’t get your hopes up..

@Idie+16zEvLP3 1) you hire a group of analytical people and train them repeatedly over years the that ethics matter and “It’s not just the results that matter but how this results are achieved”. You even point out examples of poor ethics in industry and tell folks they should be proud to work for such an ethical company . 2) the economy changes and you need to reduce staff, 3) you make a decision to arbitrarily fire an additional 3-5% of folks that you would otherwise keep, 4) you say it is not a layoff / redundancy / retrenchment but instead You make it PERSONAL by telling them they are poor employees.
The same analytical folks will take note of the disconnect and the cognitive dissonance gets you 45k views. You might lose control of the message and your credibility.

Do you really think EM will back fill the layoff nos .The next wave of retrenchment is on the way. Have trust in MOM, EM will be punished for the unethical disguise retrenchment.

I also seriously don’t think MOM can do anything here. As long as the positions are filled after the NSI folks left there’s no case at all.

Interesting to see the comments on new LCM, any one has experience with new LCM to share?

The people must stay united. all PC rep should immediately give up the position as the broader technician base do not support the PC or so called branch. Direct union might have better credibility, hence suggest the PC reps, do the right thing and talk to the teams and if consensus is not to be represented, PC Rep to pull out. This is to send a direct message to the Higher Level Management that we, on the ground level have lost trusting the higher management

@Fkdx+16zEvLP3 Perhaps NSI too. Similar to many VP/Presidents that chose to retire this year.. not a bad thing, as they are a drag to our bottom-line..

Bunch of useless managers organising multiple townhalls to solicit employees’ feedback with nauseating fake sincerity. You can sense the awkwardness, weakness and desperation in their voices when they say “we want to hear from you” and the audience response is nothing but dead silence.
Can’t wait to witness how these evil scumbags get slaughtered in the same modus operandi they had delivered to their direct reports. Justice is served when you see them excrete in their pants as they bid farewell to their cushy jobs, landed property/ condo, maids and Mercedes/BMWs.

Suggest we Collect signatures from the impacted employee if those are still hesitant to proceed and report to MOM.
Taskforce to do the needful.
Name & Years of service suffice. Welcome feedback for us to collectively work as a voice and copy Jo Teo on it.

The unethical irresponsible act the company has done towards its employee, depriving the retirees benefits and forced employee to opt for PIL needs to be announced to a wider global audience.
Such reputable company act in a such immoral manner.
Reuters are contacted!

EM is indirectly forcing people to resign, putting up a PIP that unlikely to pass. Exposing an unethical company is not going to create a bad name for youself .,instead we are clearing the wrongful label NSI. ALL to stay united to expose this unethical company for irresponsible wrongful dismissal.

Post ID: @Cdlw+16zEvLP3

Could we understand from those that reported to MOM, did you choose to leave the company? Or can MOM help you secure the job after the PIP ended in nov? Or does it leave a bad record under your name to apply for other jobs...

If ranking system is so dependable , why aren’t our CEO being fired ? He brought Xom out of dow Jones index after 92 yrs ! What a shame! We are indebt of $48bn all bec of overpriced purchase of XTO, who are all those mgmt pple that approved the project ? They shd all be fired ! Why are they still around ? Instead they are firing pple on the ground that have no part in such stupid decision making ! This is a typical play out of Animal farm in real life’s —- all those swines at the TOP that don’t hold themselves responsible and accountable ! Lightening will strike them ...one of these days .

Latest updates from MOM!
Growing number of reports received since Aug, good sign that people are taking the right path and notify MOM!
Keep the momentum and please continue to play your part!

All the best to non NSI colleagues impacted, continue to uphold our employee rights!

Report the wrongdoing of this immoral company

I already reported to MOM. The worst has already happened to me. What’s left to fear? As cliche as this may sound, I want to see justice done.
The recent Parti Liyani’s case should give us strength to believe that the rich and powerful will eventually have to pay for their own immoral acts. We are citizens in our own country and should never be held by fear to assert our employment rights. Don’t let EM get away with this as this could set the precedence for other MNCs to follow suit.
Keep reporting to MOM.

Fellow colleagues impacted by this unethical exercise,

Facts:

PIL is not stopping us from making reports to MOM.
MOM has a copy of EM PIL.

MOM is keen to know how many employees are impacted.

HR never anticipated we went ahead to MOM and struggling to tackle this issues now.

EM will continue to lay off unless we report such irresponsible retrenchment.

Speak for yourself despite your options PIL / PIP.

No repercussion from reporting to MOM.
