@1mhxq+16zEvLP3 I did not see it. Not in Chemical. Can you share it here?

Just wait until the next layoff wave hits Singapore. More jobs will be let go! :)
I did catch that. It's hilarious, even the PIP process is distorted. Yes indeed, its a gift to the Company (aka Management). Soon EM will be bled dry by them, manufacturing sites should become less efficient with majority of compensation given to the management/overpaid FLS.
Why would any talent join/stay in a place with such a culture?
"Gift" to the company according to chemical? wow means we loyal employees are not needed anymore. Thanks for sharing here @1mhxq+16zEvLP3. We employees are not important to EM anymore...
did anyone catch the chemicals communication? they did mention that PIP is a gift for the company. it is clear now.
Which part of EMRE?
EMRE and Reliability are a waste of space and $$$
@1kvbx+16zEvLP3 No doubt. Too many Staff Development Managers, supervisors & advisors around
Management has totally no value outside of EM and probably no company can match their pay for the things they do. EM has become absolutely toxic for getting rid of engineers and technicians (whom are the ones doing real work). Watch out for more reliability events coming up and lets see if KLTC can respond to those.
If anyone deserves to be laid off, it should be the managers. Why are they paid so much to ask questions and churn work? It is sad to see the working level getting laid off when they are the ones that truly add value to the business.
Instead of complaining here and seeking MoM’s attention (which will never happen, by the way), I think we’d be better off to take stock of our existing savings and shave off all liabilities - like the mortgage, car loan, credit cards, personal loans, etc.
Cos if you do lose your job, it will be helluva change that you need to make to your lifestyle, spends and money drain.
Question for all: If you cannot get another job (not to mention an equal-paying one, at that), can your savings last you for a reasonable period of time?
How about the family / children (tuition, expenses and all)?
Sell house / downgrade, sell car, sell ..... and then what?
senior management sending people to visit this forum. Is our management mentally so weak and insecure? May be is time to grow up.
Senior management has confirmed that they like NSI - and frankly, there hasn’t been much of a backlash in any kind. So good night and good luck my friends.
Winning through WIN. :)
WIN is a joke for Singapore.. lol.. but I usually get my free meals there! Great times!
Definitely not. The current environment and situation makes things so shady. Some SLSs have favoritism towards female employees and here we are empowering them through WINS which have no other value except for free lunches. Look at how many female SLSs in the refinery past few years and look at how we are doing now.
I'm not the only one who thinks the workplace is getting more toxic, more people blaming others to save their own back right?
Pushed back and asked to retire....
Is G5K pushing back?
Good luck to those not planning their exit.
Too late for an exit. Just have to hang on. The job market is full of EM resumes and yet so many remain shows you how dire the situation is.
Bunch of us will get burnt by this study. House is on fire.
Need to hurry think of the next high profile senior KOs to write nice words for me, hope they can save my job. Scratch your back, you scratch mine. Wasting each other time and resources, few thousands of us spending two hours each, back and forth? How much time wasted for whole corporation??
What are the rumored numbers for Singapore study? 2000? 3000? Surely more than the US for sure. After all, Singapore office is just a colony.
we operations sent union talk to gsk for bonus matter, no good news but only learn that he retiring with lots of $...sad
@1kaay+16zEvLP3 I don’t think that GSK is pushing back, if at all! He will happily retire with millions in savings, EM stocks and directorship fees!
The next wave of PIP and PIL for NSIs will certainly be there in 3Q2021.
But way before that, expect the Singapore country study to have completed and we shall see the decimating impacts of HW3 and TMTS hit first.
No one in Singapore pushing back except for GSK? Needs to band together in order to be stronger - otherwise, you just get bullied into submission. Something needs to get done before another round of NSI hit us.
Please include all the staff development managers in Emit.
If you work long enough and you should know these highly paid Mr/Ms NATO (No Action Talk Only) DO NOT deserve to be paid so high; These included SLS and Lead positions.
Yes, Singapore employees (with CPF and the 3-mth AWS) is high cost ... only next to Japan, in AP.
A mid-career executive’s salary, including EM stock options will be hovering near SGD450K+ pa.
A senior DH’s salary will touch SGD300K+ pa ... all on a 15-mth basis.
Given a strong SGD, and converting that to USD, Euros, or worse AUD, plus their higher taxation there, makes a Singaporean managerial-MPT look relatively well-remunerated on a net income basis!
Singaporeans are docile and will just quietly leave or do the NSI. No one is going to pursue a class action law suit against Singapore EM.
So, just take the 8% NSI signed sealed and delivered from Australia in 2021. Remember what management said - the door is always open if you are not happy. Stop disturbing the masters of the universe in Houston and Dallas and go back to work in the fields you peasants.
in sg em there is no transparency, lousy public communication, union not strong. now we employees gets affected.
Back to NMPT comments from below,
I beg to differ. Why technicians don’t deserve PIP/PIL.
It’s true you all put in blood/sweat/tears with inherent work hazard. That’s why you guys are getting paid better than other diploma level jobs.
Secondly, do you even know how many incidents or losses Exxon has occurred due to COOs ( operator errors ). From my experience. I have encountered many technicians, most of them execute tasks without thinking. Therefore causing incidents etc. which can be easily prevented.
So shouldn’t PIP/PIL serve as a wake up call for y’all ? To not be complacent and ignorant.
just like some ssoc people who thought that they are on the way to the top. buy BMW the moment he became RC. jokes
@1jwdq+16zEvLP3 To be more specific, not just any car - but luxury brands like Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Jaguar. Many own more than 1 car.
Not just any private property, but a FH landed house (semi-D, or bungalow) in prime D10.
And all cash-rich!
Even NMPT FT earn here and convert money into their currency, built big houses, buy land. When they go back, king of the village
not only cars, land and houses too, surprise yourself. management are given wayyyy too much in sg sending emails and meetings. Remove one and may replace with some units shift team running and going. Sg is the safest place in the world right now, thanks the gov, but we want fair treatment, please don't cut bottom to reward the top.
HR is here to serve the senior leadership and not the peasants. Technicians were very well paid for their blood sweat and tears. Just look at the nice cars at the manufacturing sites in Singapore. You live by the sword, you die by the sword.
So noble.. Blood, sweat and tears. No one forced u to be a technician.
All above board here. No action taken. So complaints already looked into by authorities. Thank you.
This PIP is totally b—s—. Technically they should layoff all the SLS,LPS advisors and 80% FLS. Even NMPTs are getting this PIP. Absolutely atrocious. Working level technician are sacrificng their sweat and tears for the company yet they choose to PIP the NMPTs. HR SHOULD LOOK INTO THE UPPER MANAGEMENT FIRST. Last but not least,F*** exxonmobil.
