Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How will layoffs affect the Retail Premier Bankers

There seems to be a huge focus on the Premier bankers and affluent segment as a whole right now. Are the banker jobs safe or is everyone fair game?

Premiers are definately safe. The temporary halt on licensing for Bankers is done. They are currently enrolling Bankers in the Licensing program and have expanded to include there series 7. Now if your an underperformer in any job role, I would be concerned.

Fair game - there is no “safe” in the crazy world of Choo Choo Charlie.

My gut tells me that premier bankers are safe. Huge focus on premiers and training. They are no longer licensing bankers so I'm more concerned about the licensed banker role.

FWIW retail makes up 30% of the banks staff. The single largest LOB based on number of employees.

if you'r in retail; you location matters most. they will make our footprint smaller and the jobs left will change likely to more advice/concierge as clients needs change

I think everyone is fair game. No one is safe, really.
