I now have 5 bosses and an org chart showing I report to a vacant spot. 5 orders. 5 opinions. 5 directions. I will get 1 right and 4 wrong. I am just a number to get to the 7 ratio

You don't have a real boss right now. Your 5 managers aren't really monitoring your work and trust that you will continue doing what you're doing. Just keep your head down and once they figure out the org structure you may or may not be fine.
5 bosses surprised you don't have more and let me guess they are all mia when you need one in a meeting to discuss about the meeting for the meeting. This place is a complete disaster. The biggest 2 bosses are off with their mistresses or golfing . Old school good old boy c-ap show ! So many mergers so many protected jerks . It's like a bad frat house. I hope the big bad wolf blows their house down.
I wouldnt worry about the bosses, i understand those will be first to get the axe so they may be nervous

How does this happen? You directly report to this many people or are you talking about the bosses above your boss too?

Well I have 8 bosses. 8 bosses! So when I do something wrong I have 8 different people telling me about it. My only real motivation is to not get yelled at. Well that and the threat of losing my job. But you know what? That’s only gonna make me work just hard enough to not get fired
It’s not that I am lazy Bob. It’s that I just don’t care. And just make sure you use the side door so lumberg doesn’t see you
I agree. Morale is at an all time low. Most employees I know are more focused on rumor mill than doing work. Let's get r done so everyone can move on.
Be sure to use the proper cover sheet on those TPS reports.
