Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

The pot is getting hotter and about to boil. CSI

If you are a manager and now being asked to signa CSI (confidential supervisory Information) disclosure documentation to be really sure the other docs you signed are not explicit enough, then that means information is coming down the pipe and they want to be sure you don't leak. That also means your team members are at a greater risk and you by default. I am sorry to all who are about to go through this. We got our CSI's Monday to sign and return.

For me its just another sign that things are picking up pace and they match the dates that are happening August 14th date is real. looking at all the clues that are happening and all the conversations that are happening are confirming that the big one is coming.

I am not sure what you are saying? Are you saying that you are getting CSI and other paperwork and that acts like a reminder to not saying anything? I would say only if you are privy to information around cuts etc. Then maybe.

I don’t understand how this would relate to layoffs.

The regs have been all over WF for their handling of CSI. WF is reacting by ensuring employees and those with need to know are maintaining the confidentiality required.

This process has been evolving over the course of the past 18 months. Handling of CSI wasn’t really talked about. Then the regs expressed some concerns, then there was a training and some required disclosures at the top of emails and documents. Then some share point sites had to be changed. It’s been an evolution (at least in my department).

I think this is more just WF reacting to ensuring they are handling CSI properly, than it is lay-off related.

If @sut is right (I don’t know the purpose of a CSI), then it may have to do with the OCC audits taking place this quarter. They’ve already started the audit. Just a thought...

I don’t follow this.

CSI is information from a regulator, usually about exam findings or some enforcement action by the Fed or OCC.

What does that have to do with layoffs?
