Anyone else been on issues or remediation calls where there is a very urgent push to have closed out by end of year? My guess is if you are, it’s because there is a potential buyer of that portfolio

Management is denying that Goldman Sachs is considering buying certain profitable business units.
Why would they even bother to deny that? Wouldn't it be easier to just ignore it, and let the rumors die off on their own?
One guy said that WF can sell off basically everything, and just leave a "shell company" with nearly zero assets. The Asset Cap would remain with that shell company, and so it would not matter if it was ever lifted. Kind of like trying to tax a corpse. The government could tax it all they want, but the real business would be under a different company.
I'm sure a lawyer could explain it better, but it sounds like they are not worried about the asset cap, or anything else.
Well if it’s true, make sure you bust you’re rear end all to be rewarded with a pink slip shortly thereafter and help drive that stock price up to line the Artists Formerly Known as JP Morgan’s pockets
I’ve heard Strategic Capital is up for sale
