Any clue as to why they keep NP as the BSA Officer? Seems like a meek lightweight who doesn’t hold a candle to the previous one.

Another weird attribute of Nick: at any opportunity he will give accolades to Les and Sandy who run the GFCIG (Intel). It’s the biggest money waster and has like 3 people for Each senior manager. They exchange newspaper articles each day and prior to COVID, Les would travel 250 days of the year attending conferences around the world.
I'm in FCI, and have only really been under NP, but that's my impression of him as well. Being ignorant of the politics at that level though, his being meek may be a feature not a flaw. Regardless of him though there does appear to be an enormous dearth of quality leadership in FCI. I'm hoping the spans and layers will thin out the absurd amount of ex law enforcement guys who are totally paralyzed from ever affecting change to make the work more efficient or consistent between groups.
I don’t work in FCRM but I am in one of the business financial crimes teams. Jim Richards was ok, has his pluses and minuses. Nick was at the helm of Wholesale when we got hit with the BSA/AML consent order - the program had all kinds of issues - so how he was able to stick around and then move up to the top job is a mystery. He’s ok, not great or bad IMO, but I suspect there are plenty of other people out in the industry who would do a better job.
