Silent protest: Stop attending all hands calls

Technology leadership, from Saul on down, do not listen. They do not want to hear from us. Some of them actually stated this. Ok. We can send a message by not attending their calls. They don’t share anything meaningful anyway, just spew BS and more toxicity … with heart of course. Imagine Saul opening a call and there’s no one on the line. THAT is a message.

I will no longer attend their meetings.

Just carry on as usual. Do not assume that you will be laid off. Attend the All Hands Calls and be there next year to do so as well. Not everyone will be laid off, hopefully.

These "Ask Me Anything" sessions are often a pretty painful slog without much value, let alone anything pragmatic or easily put into practice. Somewhere in the Technology Strategy there may be some valid ideas but they are hidden in steaming piles of corporate gibberish.

Funny to see them talk just amongst themselves during all hands. It’s More of the same. Nothing in it for me. I’m zoned out.

All the the pre-scanned email questions are a joke.

Agreed. Less talk more doing. Stop talking about what you are thinking of doing about maybe something and just pull the bandaid off already
