Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Uptick of LinkedIn Propaganda

I've noticed an inordinate amount of sappy Linkedin posts by new employees as well as those celebrating anniversaries.
Seems odd to me in an environment where we all can hear an ax being sharpened in the distance.

The “got hired today and so proud to be on the Stagecoach” posts are embarrassing or the new hires are awfully naive. And they all get an instantaneous response from HR. And it doesn’t get old seeing how much money the company is donating to charity...

These people should be pretty safe in terms of this big layoff. For some people, even if you did that, you won’t get noticed by someone in the firm or people in other firms since you are nobody. So those who got the spotlight on LinkedIn deserve this reward since at the very least, they can help wells to get attention and even rebuild some reputation.

Recruiters and career counselors tell people to have a strong presence on LinkedIn. Who benefits? Think about it.

I totally agree. All the bleep-kissing posts about all the good things WF is doing...from people hoping it will be noticed and save them from the axe.

Please. Have some dignity.

Ckearly, chugging from a Kool-Aid b-ng.

LinkedIn has become equivalent to Facebook now which is hilarious. People celebrating while Charlie is clearly sharpening the axe on a grinding wheel with sparks flying in the background

Seriously, who looks at LinkedIn any more? It jumped-the-shark a long while ago.

I completely agree and was thinking it's odd timing to be doing this on LinkedIn. I guess they need to drown out the tsunami of bad PR that is coming
