Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

When can we go out and have a drink again

I miss the time when we can have a drink after work versus reading the b—s— here.

Why are you asking a medical question on a website about layoffs?

Try the New England Journal of Medicine website. Or the Lancet.

But not here.

Super spreaders. Niiice.

Thanks for nothing. Enjoy wearing those masks even longer – and hope they aren't replaced by ventilators.

In March we started having driveway drinks and beer circle in the neighborhood every Friday at 5 pm. Safely distanced in our separate driveways on the street and culd-a-sac.

By April we were grilling out in our driveways. And drinking festivities started on Thursdays.

By May a few neighbors converted their garages to actual bars. It was a competition and some really nice home bars were made. Some for a few hundred bucks, a couple in the thousands.

By early June the drinking was starting on Tuesday nights because people are at their breaking point and losing their minds. Literally like a scene from The Shining, just booze fueled. It didn’t help that the community pool has remained closed due to NC Guidelines. Our HOA wouldn’t budge and use an app to schedule Pool Time for residents.

Here we are at the end of July with no end in sight to this pandemic. Our Phase was rolled backed/paused.

We all want out. We are all waiting for a vaccine and cure. Once that happens I’m pretty sure we will all come out in beast mode or end up in rehab for alcoholism.

Go drink now. Restaurants are open, liquor stores are open, do you not have neighbors?
