@tdh Yes. They can still close a branch before lease is up.

I have 4 DRs and i sure hope they make me compete with my peers for the resulting manager position. Easy way out. I botch the interview and here comes the package! Meanwhile, WF keeps the incompetent manager on board. What’s not to love here?

are you sure you have to interview? Can you renegotiate the pay too?

I heard the 9/22 effective date. Is this correct? What will that look like for teams to be combined? Those direct managers will have to actually interview for job or will they just be reorganized without any other action (as the top performer) and other laid off or redirected to new line of business ?

As far as branches with less than 7 total team members, do we see these branches closing sooner than later or do we see additional TM’s moved into location (defeats the whole purpose of the movement). According to OCC, Wells is closing about 15-20 branches a week nationwide. A couple of branches in our area are also via lease; could Wells make location close sooner than Lease agreement is up ?

@qyc+16ZgzQcP if/when the cuts reach your level, you and your peers will see your teams combined and you'll have to interview against him/her to get the job.

The 7:1 ratio is for everyone except senior leaders. They can have under or they will just move someone under them.

I am @ risk too - 8 direct reports and no resources will be eliminated. So, I stay at 8 but if there is another round I am sure they will cut in my area as there was no cuts now. So, that may be bring me under

Anyone here heard anything about retail banking? I’m a Service Manager and I don’t know of any other Service Managers having 7+ direct reports. What does this mean for our position, are they doing away with the role? This is eating at me daily, nobody talks about the layoffs.

I’m in a group within risk that have less than 7 reports. Based on what I’m reading here, I fear my job is not safe & there is no one else that does what I do so it will be interesting to see what happens on the 22nd.

Is the 7:1 directs to manager ratio a hard requirement For every manager, or more of an average goal for the whole company?

I am in risk - I was told by a more senior manager that they are not going to make anyone an individual contributor if they are currently a manager with less than 7 direct reports. Does anyone know if that is true for all off risk?
