I am a business analyst and I left last week. I have about 7 years of work experience and it took me about 5 months to find a comparable job with a large bank. It was not easy but it did work out. Anyone else looking out there? If yes, what are your experiences?

Im not too worried, jobs are for poor people.
I will stay here as long as i can, collect the income I can and keep moving. I consider this secondary income.
Everyone should have multiple sources of income, that should be your primary goal and not count on one source.
Job descriptions often seem pretty cookie cutter, and unhelpful for telling if it's a job I'd really be exited to accept, if offered. So if looks like at least an OK fit, and it's at one of my target companies, I'll apply. Can usually tell after the screener (assuming I get one) if it's worth pursuing further. I've found some interesting opportunities this way. Good luck!
Been looking internally since pandemic started externally for 4 months. I have been looking daily to weekly at nearly every bank or Fin inst on the street. There is not much available. However will say I have been applying for lateral or bumps nothing below where I am at now. I have seen several postings in my field for jobs I could do but don’t want to apply to just to apply unless I am in the position of will take whatever I can get. Of the few I found that I was qualified for I have gotten 1st and 2nd round interviews for all. Things are moving very slow for some of the openings. It’s exhausting looking. Ready to get out of here and find my new “home”.
I've been at it for a while. Depends on type of role, I'm sure, but good companies outside hard-hit industries like tourism and entertainment are hiring. There's a lot of competition, though. So agree with previous posts, it's not the time to quit without another job. (Not sure there's ever a great time to do that.)
A number of non WF friends have found good jobs recently, it just took work and focus. And there was disappointment and rejection along the way. I'd encourage updated resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and actively applying and networking. Can always say "no thanks" to anything that doesn't feel like a fit. At a minimum, external interviews are good practice for those of us who haven't looked outside for a while.
My opinion: Don't fall into the trap of waiting to "see what happens" with layoffs, assuming you can't find benefits that match WF's. I've been here for 15 years, and that's not always true. Plus, imagine not having to look over your shoulder for the grim reaper every third Tuesday of the month?
There are jobs out there... you just have to find them.... it took me a few months but I did find a better job at another firm before I left wells... the pool is cool but its not frozen over....

I’m an Engineering Manager and while we are a dime a dozen, my experience as a teller and then as a Project Manager has netted me some great call backs. I expect one to lay down a solid offer soon.
it's pretty dry.. but i personally wouldn't leave a job voluntarily unless i had another lined up..

I think there are jobs in some types of work still out there.

There are lots of opportunities out there if you know where to look. I changed jobs during the pandemic and know lots of other folks have as well.
