@2rpl, Sweden's death's per million are higher than other countries in the area and up there with the worst countries for outbreaks.

Don't be Sweden.

@2iaw+16VmuCyk - Sweden's death rate is lower than most of Europe:

https://www.cnn.com/videos/health/2020/09/03/sweden-covid-19-coronavirus-pandemic-response-foster-ctw-vpx.cnni

Sweden flattened the curve (remember when that was the objective?) without a lockdown -

Sweden's economy fared better. Their economy was still impacted due to the lockdowns in other European countries. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-53664354

So, you were saying?

Sweden had more deaths because they tried to go the herd immunity route, which was expected.

But they did it to keep their economy going, which it did not.

So they accomplished kiling more people for nothing.

They were an experiment that failed.

If you're going to lip off, at least know what you're talking about.

Also, the 90's called, they want thier the 80's called punchline back.

Work from home is permanent.

There may never be a vaccine, but I'm hoping for one. If we do get one it won't be ready this year.

If/when they do get a working vaccine, that's just the beginning. Making it, storing it, transporting it, getting people to take it, is going to take some time.

There are 330,000,000 Americans, you need to get a good 200,000,000 million or more vaccinated to get herd immunity.

America failed at getting PPE to doctors for months, and that's just masks and gowns. A vaccine is slighlty more complicated than an N95 mask.

And like it or not, the world is a smaller place now, people are going to travel abroad and people from other countries are going to come here.

So the vaccine issue is bigger than just the USA and will be with us for at least the end of 2021 and probably longer.

BTW, Please don't talk about herd immunity without a vaccine, the body count from that is terrifying if you care about people.

If Wells work from home lasts into next year, and it appears likely it will, at some point Wells will need to unload some office space.

Shareholders and common sense will require it. Paying for empty cubicles is bad business.

So I think WFH is permanent for most of us given the current state of world affairs.

On a side note, things are never going back to where they were in February, vaccine or not, the people and companies that thrive are going to be the ones who accept the world the way it is and find work and businesses that support the way things are now.

WFH announced as permanent at WFHM. Imagine it will last until risks of WFH outweigh the risks of being in the office again.

Even if a vaccine becomes available, I don't know of many people who plan to get it immediately. There's too much distrust out there. And these folks aren't anti-vaxxers in the least.

WFH will be extended until after first of year

I have heard no reputable source and no knowledgeable individual claiming a vaccine will be available before late next year. Q3, maybe.

Lmao, if you believe that I have an island to sell you.

@adv+16VmuCyk No disrespect intended, but that is reckless, irresponsible, and lead to more senseless death. WFH should be a permanent option for anyone able to do so. Why would you want to eliminate double digit gains in productivity?

@adv+16VmuCyk No disrespect, but your opinion is reckless, irresponsible, and will get folks k–led. I think telecommuting should be made permanent for everyone able to do so, or at least the option.

Who cares about JPM, they are from old mindset.

When vaccine is released at EOY, will take maybe through Q1 to get enough doses to everyone.

At Chase, the news article said senior people on the trading floor. Are you interpreting that as “all employees”?

IMO every1 is due back in office on Nov 1st. JPM already started calling their employees back to office. Wells Fargo will follow, we all know where the top executives from Wells Fargo came from.

Not everyone reads the company emails.

For one thing, there are too many of them. Wells execs love to see their pictures and corporate-speak sent out to everyone and on the homepage.

Makes them feel like they're doing important work.

@emb+16VmuCyk Yep, employees knew this weeks ago. I don't see a full return to the office until summer 21 or even 22 at the earliest. Hopefully they will make telecommuting permanent for anyone that prefers it.

I think this person doesnt work at Wells Fargo as there was a company wide email that gets emailed out to entire company on these matters. No need to look at public news.
