Has everyone lost theie sense of humor? I realize that life can be stressful but it's okay to lighten up a bit...

The logic is pretty simple.

Take the call, get the package

Avoid the call, lose the package.

If you're on the cut list, how long do you think you can delay the inevitable? As the last comment said, I don't think packets are being sent out until notification, but even if they were and you stopped taking meetings with your boss, where does it end? At some point, if your boss can't get you because you don't attend meetings or answer the phone, you'd get fired for cause and lose whatever severance you had coming.

Once again, you will not get a FedEx package until after you meet with your manager. Its not like the days of pink slips. And if you are getting laid off, why push off inevitable, get it over with cause there's always the 17th.......
