I have been recording Charlie's total team count off Teamworks (I know there's retirements, people leaving or fired, etc. and it's not all "layoff" related) and it goes down weekly since August at a steady clip of 440-500 team members. I assume it will spike when the chainsaw really gets going.
They won't tell us anything so it's an interesting way of seeing what's happening.

The goal of these large scale reductions is to report to Wall Street during the Q3 earnings call. They made clear during the Q2 call they want to cut expenses by $10 Billion per year. Now they will be expected to report progress towards that goal.
If they give notice to 30,000 in Q3, they will record and report a one time charge for severance and then state the expense reduction for 2021.
That being said, expect the notices given to be very heavy during the next 2 weeks.

Current HR efficiency ratio is worse than the industry standard. WIth headcount shrinking fast, why do we need 4437 HR people in the firm?
I have been watching this since August 18th and we are down 1500 since then looking at his number.
Go to Charlie's profile on Teamworks, has a total team number, 274,078 as of today. It appears to change daily, but I don't check it that often. Once a week works fine.
At least it's some number, since there's zero chance we'll ever get specifics from Sir Charles.
