I am passively. I don't want to jump from the pot to the frying pan and land somewhere I'll regret. I don't find it too bad here because I have worked worse places at Fortune 500 companies.
So are you actively looking, passively looking or are you going to stick around until you can?

"I want to move to a new state, so will seek a move internally and then I plan on actively looking to leave. I’m a level 5 performer, 20 year senior level “employee” and I have had enough. Bye!"
No one is a consistent level 5 performer. You are either not be challenged appropriately or your managers standards are subpar.

I always keep an eye open for a chance to escape the bank, but I've got 2+ decades in, so the benefits are hard to match. Plus my manager understands my situation and due to the nature of my job I have lots of flexibility.
That said, Amazon is hiring locally and if I get a few certs I could net a 50%+ increase if I land the right job. I'm hoping for a package so I can study for those full time on WF's dollars.
Some advice: "passively" searching will likely be ineffective, because there are many qualified candidates who are "seriously" looking. We've all heard of a job just falling into someone's lap – but it's rare in this economy. Good companies are hiring, but applicants for those jobs are putting forth a lot of effort, not winging it.
I was laid off a few years ago, and agree that job searching STINKS. It's a numbers game – tons of work, loads of rejection. Don't procrastinate, though. If you get an offer that you think isn't great, you can decline and keep looking or roll the dice with WF. Or you may find your dream job, without all this stress and uncertainty.
Some of my friends were reluctant to look outside, saying they'd never find benefits or PTO as good as WF offers. Eventually they realized IT'S NOT TRUE. Something better is out there for all of us.
as a consistently exceeds performer, I am certainly passively looking but I do think this can be turned around and would be happy sticking it out if they can keep morale up. Which is questionable with how everything is going now.
Not much out there right now in my field.
It really depends on how you feel about your job and if you still feel energized. If so,
I would suggest to look passively and wait and see
what transpires.
Some of us have been through so many changes and the chaos is just too much -then it makes sense to ramp up the job search.
I am waiting to see if I get a severance package.
“Exceeds” performer here, involved in a critical risk function and more likely than not “safe”. But I‘m getting a bad vibe, losing confidence in upper management, and just not that into this anymore. I’m giving my job my all but starting to look around. Actually interested in a more tangible part of the American economy—looking at white collar positions at railroad, green energy, commodity, and agricultural firms. Life is an adventure, and it’s never too late to pivot.
Every. Damn. Day.
I'm looking. Wells Fargo pay is low compared to other companies. WF will never stop offshoring and automating jobs. Might as well get out now while everyone else is comfy where they are at.
Charlie, please stop with stalker posts to gather intel.
Were not going to make this easy for you.
You don't care about us and, frankly, we don't care about you.
Go cuddle up to your blood money.
I’m actively looking. This place is transforming from a chaotic dumpster fire to a miserable sweatshop under King Chucky. I hate the leadership, I hate the work that I do, 90% of the people that I work with are either boring, rude, stupid, neurotic or some combination of these. Why in the hell would I stay? Cross my fingers that Chucky doesn’t axe me, AND pays me my bonus? If I survive the axe, it’ll be a miserable ride, followed by what’s sure to be a lackluster bonus and a paltry 0.5% merit increase (if any at all). That being said, the problem is that I probably can’t jump ship without taking a pay cut.
Passive. I’d leave for 20k raise and more authority. Most recruiters in my inbox are more of lateral move, so right now I’m just saving their contact info, or looking at what parts of the req are things to work on in my skillset. No hurry yet.
I'm a new hire, so actively looking because the package doesn't mean much without tenure.
Passively- if there’s a great opportunity I’ll certainly take it. But I would wait if it was a lateral move.
I want my package; so stick around until I can.
