Speaking of WFA Home Office: I have NO idea how they are going to safely manage bringing people back in to that building. It’s mostly open concept now, with many packed in to close quarters, and no cubicles. (Some departments do have cubicles, but many don’t.)
The “cleaning” has gone sharply down hill over the years due to cost cutting. This will be my main concern. The bathrooms and kitchens are constantly out of soap and paper towels- we often have to bring in our own soap from home, the paper towels are thin and keep getting shorter, thick layers and gobs of dust everywhere, the cleaning people always have buckets of filthy water and dirty rags on their carts, the bathrooms and stairwells and sewer drains stink, areas around trash cans don’t get cleaned and have months/years of food build-up, we have critters (I’ll just leave it at that), it’s been bad. They say they stepped up the cleaning this Spring, before we went home, but ....no, They brag about how “green” our newer 10-year old addition is, which I would normally be in support of, but that building is very poorly and cheaply managed. It’s just sad. And I will want to hear what they have to say about the quality of our HVAC and ventilation systems, how much fresh air is taken in and what filtering takes place. Based on past experiences, it’s going to be difficult to have any confidence there.
Now, having said all of this and in the spirit of wanting to present both sides: Wells has done the right thing regarding sending us home and keeping us home for longer than I would have thought. They did a good job pulling it all together quickly and making it happen. It does show what they can pull off if they prioritize and focus. And they are keeping us home so far, so I am pleasantly surprised and they deserve kudos for that.
Couldn't have said it better, @jeo+16LKC0PI.
