Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Everyone should learn this skill. It's useful even outside of technology. If you can't see that then you are part of the problem. I've been doing it for more than a decade before coming here.

To the DMI, IT and ICS guy.

IT and the business units seem to be operating in silo's along business units with total disregard for enterprise solutions. Classic late 90's early 2000's mentality. DMI is supposed to help with this.

I do not blame Saul. I blame the former interim CEO and his dumba** execs. we have too many people in DMI, IT, and ICS.

For example of a DMI project, we have an official PM from the EPMO office, in addition to a couple of DMI people who are "interfacing", along with IT people, and finally, a person or two from ICS. The DMI people interfacing are non-technical people trying to "project manage" the IT people even though this is the PM's job. Then the ICS people like to insert their person into the project to show value even though the TRM (or newly renamed Technology Sr Associate) does nothing more than attend meeting and parrot information back and forth. This does not even include the multitude of Deloitte contractors that DMI has on the payroll offering nothing more than scheduling meetings, taking notes, and updating powerpoint slides for the DMI people who are doing what exactly?

But it all makes sense when you see the number of Bank of America toxic waste employees we hired in DMI and the lame duck leadership we have in ICS. Its a real sad day when I sit on project calls and the PM is literally pulling teeth from all attendees on what to discuss. then people stand around thanking one another for their partnership.

Saul really has his work cut out for him.

Wf didnt invent agile. its been around for a long time and something we should have been doing long ago. never heard or care who saul is but it seems we heard so much about him bc all the IT people have been posting about layoffs. IT, branch TMs, and our advisors seem to be posting a lot. I haven’t seen much in regards to auto or mortgage. It’s weird bc when the pandemic hit, we sent communications to thousands of dealers country-wide explaining we would cease all extensions of credit. HELOCs have paused. I’m surprised we arent hearing anything about them.

WF is going out of business right before our eyes (and many still don't see it, despite the text book process unfolding daily).

• Sell off businesses (check!)

• Close museums and donate contents for tax write off (check!)

• Get stock price up one last time by cutting $10 billion (check in progress!)

• Make employees so miserable or unfairly rated that they quit on their own, so you don't pay severance or unemployment (check!)

• As overpaid, reluctant CEO, show open disgust, disdain, and indifference for the incompetent, corrupt company you're temporarily "leading"/selling off (check!)

• As CEO, bring in all your cronies to fill in "exec roles" and get rich making k–ler salaries/bonuses, while you all feast on the WF carcass, right before you move on to next get-rich-quick carcass (check! check!)

*As CEO, ignore employees (since you eradicated laughable "team members" term), since you were brought in to sell off company, not care about the people (check! check!)

We can thank the Board for this plan. Scharf is doing exactly what he was hired to do, while employees are being led to slaughter.

Sauls' the guy who puts on a little pony show every few weeks where he goes on about his last vacation for the first ten minutes and then says nothing of value for the next 50.

Saul's the guy who said we're all going to be in a an office with each other without first understanding how many thousands of Wells employees were hired as telecommuters.

To speak more clearly to that last point, Saul made a policy decision about having back sides in seats without knowing how many back sides are out here.

Saul is the guy that has IT managing to a slogal called the 6 S's. Slogans are not how you manage tech.

In fact, management by slogan is not managing at all, it's marketing.

Steve Jobs is an entrepreneur, Saul is an Employee! Different level of success!

My only experience with him was when he was among the parade of execs who we were forced to listen to prattle on about their asinine management philosophies during Roemer's traveling compliance sideshow last summer. Really helped morale listening to how out of touch these people are for days on end, and how in their world they get their jobs by some other millionaire inviting them to tea. Months later Roemer revealed that we didn't have holiday parties because those mas—atory "conferences" ate up the budget.

I'm not a cheerleader for Saul, but why so much hate on the guy? He didn't join that long ago so you can't expect decades of stupid sh1t to change overnight. Loads better than Dillon and several of his predecessors. Rhein? Avid? Nichols? We've had some pretty useless heads of teach.

SVB is the man. All of technology love his hip fashion sense. His smooth talking. His excessive facial expression during town halls. They want to be in nyc with him sipping a Starbucks coffee. They get wet thinking of hanging out with him like the former Deb C used to post all over LinkedIn prepandemic. SVB is the GOAT of technology. Disgraced Scott Dillion, Kevin Rhein, Martin Davis, Jerry Enos, Victor Nichols, and Webb Edwards all bow down to the guy while he sips his Starbucks
