Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

FCRM Spans and Layers a week ago

So obviously spans and layers started silently a week ago in FCRM, people shuffled around to fill span gaps for managers they want to keep. FTEs moved and cross trained with other teams and some were loaned to other teams for an undefined period of time. Work packages reshuffled as well. I guess in preparation for cuts? Maybe?

Yes they started doing this about 2 weeks ago, moved 3 people to a team that only had 5 members not including manager and the lead. which now brings that team to the “magic number” of 8.

"Senior leaders are covering for their managers and each other."

This sentence right there summarizes why WF is failing.

Employee shuffling and team creation is happening all over the organization. I'm in Learning & Development and it is happening here. Senior leaders are covering for their managers and each other. In the end, it won't be the managers who leave. It will just mean more of us. And Charlie obviously knows this and doesn't care because he is allowing these changes to happen.

Very true, just got word of a team member shuffled into a small team for a very small team for a very personable manager.
