Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Holiday Weekend

Hey Guys and Gals - take some time to relax and enjoy the 3-day weekend. Don’t worry about this place for a change. It’ll still be there Tuesday when you come back. Wishing you good health!

remember how we used to get 1/2 day off before a holiday, then it was 3pm, and now nothing.

Most slacked off and did nothing today too. So a 4 day weekend.

It's always been at-will.

You don't have to use BYOD so you don't have to get a new phone or pay out of pocket for anything.

OP, thanks for the thoughtful message. On a positive note we have been s ok somewhat forewarned about the layoff situation for over a year but the worst is yet to come.

The return to work spacing seems impossible if we are only at 1/4 to half occupancy, especially for those whose buildings are already overcrowded and are part of the location strategy with the new neighborhood redesign coming up.

The BYOD thing is ridiculous since we have to use certain devices, at a time when people are trying to spend less out of pocket.

The risk that we may have to just go on as if COVID doesn't exist to keep our jobs in the future is anxiety ridden.

If I survive the first few waves until return to work I will be filing a medical exception to work from home and push to continue using a corporate device for work. I shouldn't have to go out of pocket or into debt to use specific, new phones when my paid off phone works fine for home use.

The Benefits Book is where you'll find the Salary continuation pay schedule and that hasn't changed.

That’s easier said than done. Has anyone looked at the new employee handbook. This is an employment at will company now. There is no longer charts for years and displacements. It is 60 days and done now.
