Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

FedEx Package Tomorrow

Received an alert I'm receiving a package from Wells Fargo being delivered tomorrow.

My guess is the new "Employee Handbook"

If you have been working in a WF office or branch this could be your safety kit.

LOL, its probably from Harbor freight. Seriously, do you really think you will get your severance package before you have met with your manager. Come one, be real.

@1cuf

Most likely it will be your COBRA Package if your end date is September 30.

Are you approved for LTD thru your eligible retirement date based on your expected Social Security Retirement Date? Example, approved thru September 1, 2035.

If so, you should be in the process of filing or waiting on approval for SSDI and Medicare.

If you have been on LTD for 2 years, then yes you are only eligible for approved Medical Leave for 2 years from your onset date of Short Term Disability which is then converted to Long Term Disability after 26 weeks. Week 27 begins your LTD Coverage at 65% Base Pay.

I don’t know your circumstances, but you should be receiving 65% of your Base Salary on LTD thru your expected retirement date, which could be age 65, 66, 67, depending on the year you were born.

Make sure you stay on top of this. Turn in all forms to Lincoln Financial Group timely, and stay on your Attorney or Representative regarding your SSDI and Medicare Award.

I was without Medical/Dental/Vision Coverage for 6 months after my 2 years of approved Medical Leave ran out. Work with your doctors and dentist for a cash price or discount for uninsured patients. They are more than willing to help. Also you can use America’s Best for Vision Exams and Glass for $100.

In the meantime, look at healthcare options at healthcare.gov to find an affordable plan in your zip code.

https://www.healthcare.gov/glossary/affordable-care-act/

When I was let go after 2 years of approved Medical Leave and Total/Permanent Disability, this site helped me bridge the health care coverage gap of 6 months until I was approved for SSDI and Medicare. The rates are affordable and there are many options to chose from.

For 2 years while on Medical Leave and recovering from a stroke, I had to pay directly to WF HR for my monthly Medical/Dental/Vision, it was around $170.00 per month. Once my 2 years were up WF HR sent me a package for COBRA. It was too expense. Close to $1200.00 a month.

If you have young children or minors, work with your State or County Department of Social Services to get reduced or free Medicaid for your children. You also might qualify based on your circumstances.

Best of luck to you, and to all.

I have been out on long term disability and got the entire employee handbook sent to me last year. I dont expect to get one for next year as September 30th is my last day if employment with Wells. 17 years... oh the things I have seen and experienced.

I thought severance packages came from AZ where HR is mainly. There’s another one and it isn’t here in Charlotte. MN maybe?

If you are working at the office or branch you could be getting a safety kit with masks and stuff.

@usb you never know. I think the alerts trigger when a label as created.

Can confirm... Signing up for FedEx Delivery Manager works. If you sign up for Delivery Manager and ANYTHING is sent via FedEx to the address or addresses you enter for Delivery Manager, you will receive emails from TrackingUpdates@fedex.com with the subject line:

"FedEx Shipment TRACKINGNUMBER. This shipment was tendered to FedEx Express"

In the body of the message you will see:

"Hi. This shipment was tendered to FedEx Express on DAY DATE"

You will also see From, To, and tracking number.

I signed up this morning. Coincidentally, I had ordered something off of the Internet yesterday and paid for FedEx shipping. I already received shipment notification from the seller, HOWEVER, this evening, and after signing up for Delivery Manager, I received the Delivery Manager email from FedEx.

If you sign up and WF is FedEx'ing a severance package YOU WILL receive notification from FedEx Delivery Manager. The email will contain, TO, FROM, REFERENCE, SHIP DATE, PACKAGE TYPE, ORIGIN, DESTINATION, NUMBER OF PIECES, and SERVICE TYPE.

In Delivery Manager on FedEx web site you can also specify delivery options for ANY incoming FedEx deliveries.

I am getting one scheduled for 9/14. So likely not a lay-off notice unless they are really so incompetent to send it this early . I’m in SF. Package coming from CLT.

I oddly received a new access badge, I didn’t know it was coming and via fedex. It could be that.
