I think they are just starting up. I think Commercial is ramping layoffs up - my guess is that in the next two weeks the bloodbath will occur since 10/11 seems to be a key date. From a legacy Wholesale perspective they have to create CIB and CB control groups and move the leftovers into the CIB and CB COO.
Teams that supported both have to be split or a model determined for current state support (Financial Crimes) then they have to figure out who has no seat when the music stops. My biggest fear is that the people making the decisions have no clue what the vision is for the next 6 months so they are just decisioning by the seat of their pants.
In my group our "leader" could not lead his way out of lighted path and seems to be using this as a way to punish the people he does not like and keep the people who look at him adoringly. It just seems like there is paralysis then fire drills then a lot of talk that is circular in nature while the rest of us try to figure out "just keep working on what you are tasked with" but at the same time getting zero information on what that is.
I manage about 15 people and it is really quiet - like no information and my leadership seems totally unengaged and waiting for a package while I try to keep fighting for my group. It is extremely disheartening.
