Well results get you noticed; if someone’s upset they were passed over they obviously didn’t do a good enough job to get that promotion.. DL has a good reputation and a history of executing against priorities.
I think he's actually good at what he does. The communication style can be improved (who doesn't have something to work on?) but it's quite impressive for someone with no college degree and less than 10 years of industry experience to achieve a Sr Director role this fast.
He is top notch, experienced and well-deserved. Strange comments on this site lately.
