Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

FCRM

Anyone have any insight on to lay-off stuff for FCRM? I’ve noticed there’s been a big push for “efficiencies” lately, kinda seemingly like people’s workloads are gonna increase for some reason. Additionally, the overall managerial structure of the department is absurd, with like eight layers from top to bottom. So it kinda seems, given that it’s mostly non-revenue generating, that something is in the cards

they started moving people from heavily populated teams to A team with less than 8... perhaps to save that manager?

Yeah we got a response email to some of the efficiencies we recommended and they were pretty much like “sorry, can’t change that.” So it doesn’t look like this will lead to anything helpful either way.

I'm in FCI, and interpreted that push for efficiency ideas the same way. Although I don't know what they expect, all our inefficiencies come directly from above and their inability to impose consistency across teams. Most of the problems have glaringly obvious solutions, and have been so for a long time. So I don't anticipate the incompetent ex LEO directors suddenly adopting them, since the problems directly reflect their failings. I was looking forward to coming into work this week to news of spans & layers cutting at least some of these illiterate wastes of space.

I'm not located in a hub city, but a teammate just noticed our sister team here got a new posting...in Charlotte. I don't know if that's indicative of them trying to build up replacement teams in hub cities or what.

Of course there are big pushes for efficiencies. The is way too much "busy" work at this place. Way too many meetings and hoops to to get anything done.

Way too many levels of management as you stated and a lot of incompetency and laziness the rank and file.
