Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Does anyone know when the next date is for layoffs?

I've heard every two weeks until October. However, I have also heard only once a month, with the next date being Sept 22. Has anything heard anything?

Likely just before the end of 3rd quarter to sweeten the earnings announcement. You did notice that they dripped the 10k being cut right before the last one right? Then another sweep to get people off the books in q4 so can go into 2021 as a new streamlined (please lift our asset cap) bank...at least on paper.

@gov, the news said the layoff already started here; other posts said this week too, but has anyone been laid off?

I hate to say it, so many people would hate to lose their jobs, but please, sweet baby Jesus , give me a package.

@lkx They have to do it in batches. HR can't process the displacement packages/FedEx deliveries any faster, and other teams can't process equipment and tech returns in one lump.

We're talking about unprecedented, massive layoffs.

WARN Notice already given weeks ago. It was in the press.

That was the official ammo loading. We're all sitting ducks.

Are WARN notices required? If so, I think they have to notify that the position is gone in 60 days.

My opinion is once people are identified to be laid off, they'll lay them off as soon as they can versus waiting for an artificial date. That's what I'd do anyway if I was in charge.
