Typically its your manager and their manager who let you know. There are cases where the manager either doesn't want to do it, or their manager leaves them out. If your manager doesn't want to do it, their manager will do it. Ideal would be tomorrow and not Friday as notification on Friday for some reason seems a cruel way to end the week.

@1yvz is right. This is hammered into you when you go through CS training as an onboard. You do not look at accounts you're not actually servicing, and if you're requested to look at an account of someone you know, you warm transfer to someone else or you escalate to your supervisor.

to @1nee. WF has the system capability to determine who and when looked at your account. It is totally against WF policy for someone to look up information on a customer without a legitimate reason and need to know. It is easily traced. Call the customer service number and explain that you would like to file a complaint about the breach of confidentiality. And, if you reach a clueless person, keep going up a level of management.
One thing I,a WF customer has hated is lack of confidentiality and privacy. Relatives who work at WF can snoop on anything you do. My complaints have fallen on deaf ears.
