This would wrap up the annual reviews of those employees/department hierarchies by the normal end of October timeline.
I've lost 15 pounds in the last month from stress. I've stopped eating, and I have a diagnosed stress ulcer. This company has been my home for over a decade and I'm hear because I really do what I do. I feel like I make an impact and actually do something that helps people.

For example: When the young man was hit by a car on his way to work in uptown Charlotte. They replaced him with someone else. When the lady was s—ed out the window on her flight, Wells Fargo replaces her. If you continue to ignore your health for Wells Fargo, they will replace you too.
this is how financial industry rolls; layoffs, layoffs, and more layoffs.
It's already started to happen in a small way. Based on team works, we have lost roughly 1,300 people in two week as of last Friday. So roughly 48k to go.

If OP has been at Wells a decade he/ she should already be use to this. Wells reorg’s and lays off all the time. This isn’t new, at this point it’s just guessing the day of when not if. Buck up cowboy the rodeo just began.
I think 8/25 makes more sense since Aug has 31 days.
Blaming our elected officials for this is like saying we wouldn’t be in the midst of a worldwide pandemic if we didn’t have testing.

Stress is right. I wonder how much we can thank our elected officials and their constant bashing of us for this.
This isn't my first time round on the WF layoff rodeo. Often times you and your boss get laid off 5min apart. No one is all knowing in times like this, not even Charlie. Carlie could be listening to the Wu Tang Clan counting his coin and have some 18 year old Russian ballerina making him smoothies w a Vitamix and BAM! Buffet tells the board to drop kick him because he looks like a slime ball new yorker and can’t steer a stage coach and he and his frat boys are gone. I honestly liked the prior ceo Tim Sloan, not just because he made he made the bank profitable, but his face is exactly how i feel.
I am senior manager and I do not know the exact details of who will be sent home and when. That said, given how openly senior management has made the case for layoffs and that too on a large scale , it will be an ostrich-in-the-sand kind of move to be in denial.
I am sorry for the OP’s stress level. That is understandable. Many of us are worried about this very thing. It should be clear that no one is safe. But this is something that one does not control. Take a deep breath and remind yourself of things that you are grateful for . Especially your family .
I don’t think losing one’s job is the worst that can happen. It won’t be fatal, unless you make it so. I hope that helps.
It's only my opinion, but I do not expect anything to happen on Monday the 24th. I do think we will start to see of displaced people starting at the end of next week. Unlike the past, this isn't going to be one fast cut. This will be more like a 100 little pokes as they shrink groups over the next couple years. Some of what I said is opinion, some of it has already been talked about by senior managers.
