Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How to tell if you and your team are getting laid off next week

  1. You have a strange meeting is setup next week, something you haven't seen for months
  2. All your activities are now covered by your manager, your manager puts their name down for all your activities
  3. Low email traffic your way

Get an extra month of health care, you see the above, call in sick till the 1st of Sept
If your really smart see a doctor and get a medical leave and email it to them

"And at one company a guy walked out of an interview when he learned that I worked there, because he was bad at the company we both worked at and he knew it."

I doubt that. No one is going to go through the trouble of attending an interview just to walk out. There is no risk to staying the duration of the interview yet there is no chance of getting the job if one walks out. I call BS on your story.

Don't burn bridges but also don't get caught.

I can't find any Warn notices anywhere either.

I am wondering if my direct supervisor is on a target list. His manager has been email our team directly but not copying him directly on emails affecting our partner teams.

Also, a note on the midyear review, the same supervisor a level up told our team to dispute anything if we got a 2 or less on the scale. Maybe that is a true indicator of whether we are t omegalul targeted for rifts in the future. Otherwise, it is only midyear... why else would we have to stress the results?

The current severance in the handbook says two weeks for each year at Wf. You stay on the payroll with your medical benefits till it runs out. If you find other employment, you are supposed to tell them. They want you off the medical. They then pay the balance of your severance in a lump Doeve read a few severance packages for folks I worked with and that’s what was in them. It’s also a year max. They give you 60 days notice. Some work it, some don’t.

Don't play games on your way out, it's a small world, people will remember you in some future interview or job.

I've been on calls where someone from Bangalore remembered me from another company in another state five years prior.

And at one company a guy walked out of an interview when he learned that I worked there, because he was bad at the company we both worked at and he knew it.

Be smart, lick your wounds, and get on with your life, but be classy on the way out.

As much as you may dislike this bank, try to say thanks for the opportunity on the way out.

I know, that's some nasty tasting medicine, but don't let this nasty bank wreck your life.

I hope every one is staying safe.

Isn’t medical still provided while on severance/salary continuation?

Not sure how medical leave is supposed to halt the clock since they can cut you during medical/disability leave. The only clock stopper (temporary) is FMLA (family leave.).

Yeah never ever use your PTO, that's paid out. However its interesting idea about the medical. Take the day of the odd meeting and add 60 days, if that into a new month that means another month of coverage for your family. Sounds really pathetic but if i guess if you have no job everything last bit counts.

My manager has been Going directly to my direct reports for months, has been shadowing everything I do and took away all of my work. I confronted my manager 2 weeks ago, about taking my work away, and manager lied to me about it being slow due to the summer. I have no respect for my manager now and what goes around comes around.
