Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Could there *be* more training in Corporate Risk?

I mean, seriously.

FCRM in general is a disorganized dumpster fire, but I'm really glad that they've assigned more of these irrelevant trainings while we're already overworked and buried in case volumes, themselves the result of management's total inability to address case volumes in a rational and proactive way.

The 1990’s concept of role based training seems to be foreign to Wells Fargo leadership.

I really enjoyed that Reg W training I just took which could not have less to do with my job, and yesterday I got an email informing me that I’ve been blessed with a new advanced attorney client privilege course over and above the one everyone has to take. Such an utter waste of time.

I’ve never been a notary but I got to be trained about what notaries should do. I’ve never been in a position to foreclose on a home and I got to learn rules about foreclosing on an active service member. Just odd.

The over-training issue is company wide.

In IT we get to take all kinds of training that has nothing to do with our actual jobs.

Huge waste of time when our managers decide they want their team to complete the training first, and say "drop what you're doing and take this class now even though it's not due for a month and to heck with your customers and projects".

It's so HR and the exec's can say "Everyone is trained on not ripping off customers".

And yes, that is ironic.

Yes I am in corporate risk, while there is a lot of training in terms of like red tape stuff I think actual training would be more appropriate. Problem is my team is so new there isnt really anything to go on. Idk
