Corporate Risk Activities Survey

This e-mail just came out. Is this the first step towards a RIF?

Folks, why does everyone continue to be in denial that we simply have too many employees and it is impacting our operations and alignment with the other majors in how they operate?

Its unfortunate and is attributed to nothing more than extremely poor executive management over multiple years going back at least a decade.

Maybe Chainsaw doesn't see corporate risk or cyber security of nothing but a cost center? He prefers spend money on communist country employees to create automation, hopefully its not crime related like last set of execs did.

Unfortunately, the regulators are buying our CEO’s story that they need to cut people to save the bank as long as they can show the duplication via the survey results. The regulators are weak. They really don’t exercise their power as some of you think they do. That is why Wells is in the mess it is to begin with. The regulators are sleeping and only wake up after something goes wrong. Of course, they will come in and smack Wells Fargo with fines and consent orders when something blows up and becomes public and they will distance themselves from the blame. But they are looking the other way now, because they have to save the bank from the covid fall out. Weird times

I am on the spans and layers project. The survey is being used to identify areas in each group where there are too many people working on the same thing. The head of the group will be forced to layoff some of those people. Also, it is being use to identify areas that can be automated and the people laid off.

Ya’ll should ban together and not fill out the survey. Give them the finger and make them figure it out

No I don’t think so. It was for a small group of us and 3 of us had our roles eliminated after. Aren’t RIF’s used when a major amount are going to be given the axe?

The roles that were eliminated were RIFs?

Yes. Does the survey ask you to estimate how much time you spend on each of your daily activities? My group was all asked to complete that survey and shortly after some roles were ‘eliminated’.

That survey is the beginning of the process of knowing where the chainsaw shall cut. Beware.

Why doesn’t the management team in Risk figure out what needs to be done and then assign people to do it, and then eliminate those without roles?

This sounds like Office Space the movie. Sad.

Get ready for churning and cutting. Once they compile all the results and develop individual profiles, get separated in 2 piles - keep and GTFO.
One step to RIF. Although, there was a disclosure made that the info used will not determine personnel decisions. Such BS!

Can't believe they have to take a survey to see what people are doing. What are the managers paid for?
