A union employee in surplus status with Job Offer Guarantee vs a management employee who can be surplussed/rebadged at any time and out the door in 14-60 days?

i think the USP and vUSP teams are very safe.
"Funny how non represented (no voice) lower management gets nothing yet upper management gets these huge parachutes.."
I'm non bargained for, L2. Under the current severance plan, I would get 50% of my > 100K salary. I am OK with that; it seems fair and reasonable to me. I don't spend time lamenting C Suite compensation levels, it is wasted energy.
I used JOG to stay on payroll a few years ago. Served the 30 month time in title requirement, then moved back home.
Management has it worse the union is suppose to be more protected but I don’t know how much of that is true because I think some of their leaders are corporate sellouts.
Union has a much better severance. 50 weeks for 20 years. You’ll probably think that is too much and then you’ll probably think 274 K a month is too much. What you won’t think is. “ Maybe unions are not as bad as I’ve been told all my life. Maybe they’re the only thing that keeps rampant inequality at bay”
Funny how non represented (no voice) lower management gets nothing yet upper management gets these huge parachutes. The kind of parachute that keeps generations of these families rich.
Due to debt and ridiculously poor management, there is no safety...
Many will be gone, union and mgmt. Stop the US vs Them.
You'll only be safe if you're wearing your helmet. id–t.
Are you asking who to fire?
